Propane autogas offers savings as oil prices rise

As oil prices rise, propane autogas looks more and more attractive to fleet managers looking to cut costs, writes Burney Simpson of the Propane Education & Research Council. Wyandotte County, Kan., is saving $100,000 per year with its 13 propane autogas shuttle buses, and DHL Express has found that the fuel can save it 42% per mile by making the switch.
