Sinopec to spend $1.02B to acquire shares in Chesapeake's assets

Sinopec seeks to spend about $1.02 billion to acquire a 50% interest in Chesapeake Energy's assets in Oklahoma's Mississippi Lime formation. The assets, which involve 850,000 acres, produced 34,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the fourth quarter of 2012.
