U.S. airlines support global plan to address aviation emissions

A meeting will be held next month with the International Civil Aviation Organization leading talks to develop a global plan to address aviation emissions. Airlines for America said U.S. airlines prefer to address aviation emissions through a global standard that focuses on improving "technology, operations and infrastructure," versus the European Union's emissions-trading scheme or other market-based mechanisms.
