Coriell Institute spins off whole-genome data company

The Coriell Institute's new for-profit spin-off, Coriell Life Sciences, aims to integrate genomic medicine into clinical care through a three-part genetic data storage and interpretation platform composed of GeneVault, GeneDose and GeneExchange. GeneVault will permanently store users' genomic data in a cloud-based bank hosted by IBM. GeneDose predicts individual patients' responses to drugs based on their genetic profiles, and GeneExchange offers interpretation of genomic data by third-party experts.
