N.C. students to donate $725 to help children with cancer

Students at Draper Elementary School in Eden, N.C., have raised $725 for "Pennies for Patients," a project that supports children with cancer and cancer survivors. The students surpassed their original goal of $500. The money will be donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. "This became very personal to our staff and our students," said school counselor Mironda Williams, who organized the project.
