SEC to require 529 plan underwriters to disclose more info

The Securities and Exchange Commission has approved Rule G-45, which requires underwriters of 529 college savings plans to disclose assets, fees and expenses, performance data and other information to the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. The rule will go into effect next year.
