Smartphone-apps-processor market up 41% in 2013, firm says

The market for applications processors for smartphones was worth $18 billion in 2013, up 41% from 2012, while market for applications processors in tablets was $3.6 billion, up 32%, Strategy Analytics says. Qualcomm took in 54% of the revenue from smartphone-apps processors, with Apple at 16%. Apple held the top spot in the tablet-apps-processor market with a 37% share, Strategy Analytics says, followed by Qualcomm and Samsung.
