USPSTF: Data don't support taking vitamins to prevent disease

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force said scientific data do not support recommendations that people take multivitamins or other supplements to prevent cancer and heart disease. The report on the website of the Annals of Internal Medicine generally followed draft guidelines the task force issued in November and called for more research.
