Trans fats changes open doors to unhealthy alternatives, some say

Wide-scale marketing of trans-fats-free foods has some food experts worried about a spreading public mentality that food is safer without trans fats, even though some alternative oils are just as fatty. "We use the healthiest ingredients ever to make the worst food ever," one dining establishment's co-owner said of the fried Twinkie on his dessert menu. "We use no trans fat when we make your Twinkie. If that makes you feel better ..."
