Wal-Mart shoppers working on Wal-Mart ad account

Being based outside New York helped Interpublic Group's Martin Agency, Richmond, Va., land a large chunk of Wal-Mart's $580 million account. "We live on cul-de-sacs rather than in high-rises," said John B. Adams Jr., Martin's chief executive. "And we shop at Wal-Mart. It does affect the sensibility of the work that comes out of here."
