Study: Higher vegetable intake may reduce diabetes risk

A study of more than 64,000 middle-aged Chinese women showed that those who consumed more vegetables rich in fiber, antioxidants and magnesium reduced their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by almost 30%. The study did not find any link between higher fruit intake and Type 2 diabetes risk.
