Superintendent's dismissal represents about-face for board

Concetta Raimondi, superintendent of a growing 16,000-student Indiana district, received a raise and a four-year contract extension just six months ago, so she was shocked when she was fired Monday at an emergency board meeting where members questioned whether her professional experience was a good fit for the job and said they were looking for more of a "chief executive."
