Stocks may look better soon for long-term investors

Investors looking for long-term gains who got into the equity markets after 1995 would have done better if they had just invested in money-market funds, but a few experts now see the outlook brightening for stocks. International investment management firm GMO has released seven-year investment-return predictions that anticipate top-quality U.S. stocks, international small-caps and emerging-market stocks generating nearly 11% average annual gains.
