Students who are gifted work together to design new toys

Arizona third-graders who are gifted are creating new toys during a semester-long class project that requires them to draw blueprints, build their creations and write instructions. Teacher Liz Bradshaw, who was named the state's teacher of the year in 1991, designed the project around Arizona state standards.
