Voters just say no to artificial turf fields

Some citizens have begun to vote against installing synthetic turf. This month, voters rejected a $38 million school bond proposal for three artificial turf fields in Mamaroneck, N.Y. "The forces that came together were the bad economy, and the opposition to the synthetic turf put it over the top," said Linnet Tse, school board president for the Mamaroneck district.
