Nebraska, Iowa work to end pediatric specialist shortage

Nebraska and Iowa have a shortage of pediatric specialists, and parents can wait weeks for a nonurgent appointment. Nebraska Pediatric Practice has a full-time recruiter for specialists, and Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha plans to open a pediatric speciality clinic in September that should make recruiting easier and improve access to care.
