N.C. students grow produce in school gardens

Fourteen schools in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg, N.C., school district are growing food served in school through the Field to Fork program. Through the program, students grow the ingredients needed to make pizzas, which are served at pizza parties. Supporters say the initiative helps students gain exposure to fresh produce, which could help curb obesity.
