Why cutting tech spend is not on many CFOs' agendas

Companies' finance chiefs appear to be boosting IT spend as a means to stay competitive. "CFOs are now being confronted with a handful of technologies that promise to upend the way business has long been done," says Andrew Bartels of Forrester Research. A survey last year by Financial Executives International and Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business found that CFOs said they expected to boost tech spend by 10% in the next year.
