Bersani needs to form a "grand coalition" to govern Italy

Pier Luigi Bersani of Italy's center-left Democratic Party faces the challenge of putting together a "grand coalition" after an inconclusive general election that left no party with enough votes to form a government. Bersani and former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, one possible coalition partner, said they don't want to call another election to resolve the impasse.
