FDA stops pediatric trials of Amgen drug after teen death

The FDA announced on Tuesday the termination of all pediatric clinical trials of Amgen's thyroid drug Sensipar following the death of a 14-year-old patient. Officials said they are still gathering information surrounding the teen's death and they remain uncertain if the drug played a role in the death.
