Poll: Most voters are against cuts to Medicare, Social Security

A majority of voters feel that the federal budget should be balanced, but that cuts should come from defense spending before reductions to programs such as Medicare and Social Security, according to a survey. Sixty-nine percent of respondents opposed reducing social programs, while 49% said they would choose military spending cuts.
