SCE updates regulators on costs related to Calif. nuclear plant

Southern California Edison's idled San Onofre nuclear plant in California has incurred about $402 million in combined costs as of Dec. 31, company officials said. The facility has been offline since January 2012. "The scope of necessary repairs for the steam generators ... or the length of the units' outages could prove more extensive than is currently estimated," according to company documents.
