Duplex project in Fla. city to feature precast concrete walls

A duplex of four-bedroom homes with walls made of precast concrete is scheduled to be built in Kissimmee, Fla., as part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Neighborhood Stabilization Program. The $420,000 project is expected to take 60 days to complete. "They're not only going to be affordable upfront, but they are going to continue to be affordable to the occupants, whether or not they're tenants or homeowners," said Nancy Jewell, the city's Community Development Block Grant coordinator.
