Heart center nurses call attention to women's health

The Women's Heart Center at Bakersfield Heart Hospital in California recently celebrated its first anniversary, and nurses said they had screened more than 850 people for heart disease in that time. "Across the United States over the next year, over 500,000 women will die of heart disease; that's a lot in particular when you consider most of that is preventable," said registered nurse Laura Cunanan.
