La. elementary school brings in Navy personnel to mentor students

An elementary school in Louisiana has invited personnel from nearby Naval Air Station Joint Reserve in Belle Chasse to serve as mentors for students. Mentors come to the school every other week to play games, eat lunch and teach students about the "conscious discipline" approach to conflict resolution. "It kind of shows them that this is the way other members of society act outside of school," behavior specialist Brooke Gestrich said.
