Organizations struggle to develop holistic talent strategies, experts say

Many organizations are practicing narrow talent strategies in which they focus on filling a set of requirements, experts say. "Sometimes companies get into a pattern of looking for people from certain schools or certain backgrounds," said Colleen O'Neill of Mercer. A survey by KPMG found that 20% of business executives said their companies don't have a formal talent-review process.
