USDA Secretary Ann M. Veneman supports bipartisan efforts to overturn a provision in the omnibus spending bill that many argue would weaken recently approved organic standards. The provision, if left unaltered, would allow farmers to raise livestock on nonorganic feed, yet still sell the meat and eggs as organic.
