Architecture Billings Index continues in favorable status

The American Institute of Architects reports that the Architecture Billings Index was positive in January for the 12th straight month. The index, which is based on an approximately six- to nine-month lag time between architectural billings and construction spending, showed conditions for the nonresidential construction market should be favorable through 2006 and possibly into 2007.
