Chinese spin silk into "artificial skin"

The Chinese, long known for their utilization of silk, have developed an innovative new use -- the creation of a new kind of "artificial skin." The technology, called pure silk fiborin biodressing, is expected to help reduce scars and treat skin defects, and is said to make the best use of silk's pliability and natural affinity with human skin.
