Fixed-income profit engine may be slowing

Fixed-income trading has been the profit center for much of Wall Street for the past five years, but there are signs that the bond boom is slowing. The Bond Market Association says the pace of bond sales is likely to decrease 13% this year; while price swings in the Treasury market have reached their lowest point since 1998.
