The Academy Awards telecast is known to advertisers as the Super Bowl for women, as they stand to make up as much as two-thirds of the audience. L'Oreal USA, Coca-Cola, General Motors, and Procter & Gamble Co. are among the major marketers banking on a large viewing audience despite the relative obscurity of this year's crop of nominated films.
