U.S., others propose WTO bar drug tariffs

The U.S. and two other countries have proposed a change in world trade rules to eliminate tariffs on drugs and medical devices. The U.S. ambassador to the World Trade Organization argued many countries in dire need of some drugs impose high tariffs on imports, driving up the costs to their own citizens. Switzerland and Singapore joined the U.S. in proposing the change.
