Cause of 737 wing flap problem still unclear

The Federal Aviation Administration has looked into the problem that keeps some trailing wing flaps on some Boeing 737-400 jetliners from extending fully. It has determined no changes are needed but is unsure what causes the problem. Alaska Airlines, plagued four times in one month by the problem, said it also had "not yet come to any conclusions" about the cause.
