PrimeGen claims creation of safer stem cells

Irvine, Calif.-based PrimeGen Biotech on Tuesday said it has developed stem cells without destroying human embryos or infusing genes that cause cancer by using unspecified carbon-based "delivery particles" to introduce four proteins into cells, resulting in the reprogramming process. PrimeGen said it has done the experiment with retinal, skin and testicular cells.
