President Barack Obama's proposed 2010 budget includes proposals to boost preschool and child-nutrition funding as well as a plan to place more school programs at the heart of community centers such as the Harlem Children's Zone, writes reporter Alyson Klein in Education Week's politics blog. But official numbers on whether the stimulus package additions to special-education and Title I funding will be extended aren't expected until April, she writes.
