Mo. students taste-test new dishes

The head chef in a Missouri district is conducting student taste tests of new foods that comply with federal school nutrition guidelines. Brad Faith, head chef for Columbia Public Schools, said the taste tests allow him to determine how difficult it is to replicate the recipes and whether the portion sizes are suitable for students. Faith tested a meatball sandwich recently, and plans to experiment with ethnic food in the future.
