Cablevision takes aim at bundling with lawsuit against Viacom

Cablevision has filed a federal lawsuit against Viacom, alleging that its practice of bundling MTV, Comedy Central and other major channels with 14 smaller outlets violates antitrust regulations. Viacom in a statement denied that the bundling was mandatory, saying it had "long offered discounts to those who agree to provide additional network distribution" and that most partners viewed these agreements as "a win-win and pro-consumer."
