Cuts would harm intelligence gathering, officials warn

Sequestration could cause half of the Pentagon's intelligence employees to be furloughed, impairing the nation's ability to gather critical information, intelligence officials warned lawmakers this week. "We can't accomplish our mission" with such losses, said Lt. Gen Michael Flynn, Defense Intelligence Agency chief, testifying before a House Armed Services subcommittee.
