Report predicts limited growth in breast imaging

A report from Frost & Sullivan estimates the U.S. breast imaging market will reach $1.4 billion in 2016, up from $1 billion in 2011. The modest growth is expected to be driven by market segments including molecular breast imaging. The market has been suppressed by factors including a decrease in breast imaging facilities and ongoing debate about screening, the report said.
