Stimulus withdrawal not on preset course, Yellen says


Further deterioration of the U.S. economic recovery could lead the Federal Reserve to suspend its reduction in asset buying, Chair Janet Yellen told the Senate banking committee. The Federal Open Market Committee likely will further reduce the pace of asset buying in coming months, but the policy of gradually withdrawing stimulus is "not on a preset course," Yellen said.
