1916 Law Helps Reinstate Prince George's County Schools Chief

Section 4-201 of the Annotated Code of Maryland says the state superintendent "may" remove a local school head. Prince George's county says the state misinterpreted the law. Maryland said the county board overstepped its bounds in removing the Superintendent Iris T. Metts on Feb. 2.
