Students, Teachers Check Out Texas District's E-Book Library

Aldine Independent School District officials say the use of its e-book library has risen since its launch at the end of the 2000-2001 academic year. Lending at the e-library works like a normal library: When a book is checked out electronically, no one can access it until it's been returned. Library media services programming director Christine Van Hamersveld says the electronic library offers many advantages, including allowing students to access books and other related materials online from home. Aldine's e-book library currently holds 375 titles.
