Kellogg set to add bio-nutrient to breakfast foods

Kellogg plans to add an omega-3 fatty acid to fortify products such as Pop Tarts and Corn Flakes, perhaps as early as next year. Martek Biosciences, Kellogg's prime supplier of the substance, previously used the bio-nutrient, which is derived from algae, to fortify baby formula.
