Study: Heart hormones may treat breast, pancreatic cancer in mice

A new study shows that four human cardiac peptide hormones that regulate blood pressure and volume cured breast and pancreatic cancers in biotech mice without tumor recurrence or adverse effects. Researchers also found that the hormones were able to shrink tumor size in noncured mice. "This raises hope for turning cancer -- even when not fully cured -- into a chronic disease," a study author said.
