KMG buys General Chemical's electro-chem business

KMG Chemicals, a specialty chemicals maker, intends to purchase General Chemical Performance Products' electronic chemicals unit for about $25.5 million in a deal that includes a manufacturing facility, inventories and assumed liabilities. However, acquisition costs are expected to make the deal "mildly dilutive" to KMG's earnings for the final six months of fiscal 2010.
