Renewable-energy backers raise concerns about Nev. Assembly plan

The Nevada Assembly's Government Affairs Committee held a hearing on a proposal to allow local governments to formulate rules regarding the siting and appearance of wind turbines and solar panels. Renewable-energy advocates said the proposal might harm the industry. "We get nervous about the word 'appearance' or anything else that would make it harder for people trying to move forward," said Jason Geddes, the environmental-services administrator for Reno, Nev.
