In-app purchase revenue on mobile devices should surpass pay-per-download for the first time in 2012, projects an ABI Research study. That coincides with an IHS Screen Digest prediction that in-app purchase revenue would rise from $970 million in 2011, representing 39% of the market, to 56% or $5.6 billion by 2015.
