ONC proposes EHR certification criteria for stage 2 MU

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has issued a rule to accompany the stage 2 meaningful use proposal that would lay out standards, certification requirements and implementation details for EHRs in stage 2, as well as amend the permanent program for certifying the systems. Both proposals will be available for comment for 60 days upon release in the Federal Register, scheduled for March 7.
