Bloomberg gives $100 million to fight polio

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is giving $100 million to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Efforts will focus on erasing polio on Pakistan, Nigeria and Afghanistan, the last three countries where the disease exists. "When success is achieved, the world will have a workable, scalable model for global vaccination," write Bloomberg and Bill Gates.
