Jack Lew confirmed by Senate to be Treasury secretary

The Senate voted 71-26 to confirm President Barack Obama's appointment of Jack Lew to be the next secretary of the U.S. Treasury, replacing Timothy F. Geithner. Lew is a former director of the Office of Management and Budget and more recently served as Obama's chief of staff. In recent weeks, Republicans questioned Lew closely about his work at Citigroup.
